About us

Lindenmar Ordnance Works is a contractor to the War Ministry, based at Lindenmar in Westgau. The company was founded on 24 April 1812 by Johanna Moor and has traded for 28 years.

Established in the early years of the country, Lindenmar Ordnance Works continue to supply goods supplied to the Ministry under sealed tender from Lindenmar. The house has passed through 4 hands and changed its name once; its manner of doing business has not changed at all.

Our founder. Johanna Moor, printer, was born at Vellmar on 25 December 1769 and died on 7 April 1836.

The works

We offer goods supplied to the Ministry under sealed tender, of the first quality, on the usual terms. Orders by the carrier are attended to the same day.

Lindenmar Ordnance Works operates in the defence trade from works at Lindenmar. We are the only house in our trade in the town; the register counts 0 in the country. Particulars of current lines are sent on application to the registered office.

Our history

Dates are as entered in the register of companies at the Ministry of Finance.

1. 1812 The company is founded at Lindenmar.
2. 1822 Bauer Vineyards is acquired by Lindenmar Ordnance Works. In the press.
3. 1834 Lindenmar Ordnance Works lists on the Vellmar Exchange as LIN. In the press.

Investors

Lindenmar Ordnance Works is quoted on the Vellmar Exchange as LIN since 1834. Last year-end close: 58.84 marka (31 December 1840).

The Exchange publishes year-end closes only. Shareholders may inspect the books at the registered office on application in writing.
